Shit (spanish below)

Using the loo has never been a hard task. We learn how to use it even before going to school. You just get into the bathroom, pull the lead up… do whatever you gotta do, press the button and flash it. Well, as you may know we humans tend to do everything complicated.. even the loo.

Being an island, and not having many non salty water resources, Australia has to save as much water as they can. That's the reason why the Olympic Stadium has been built on a way that its roof captures tons of water when it rains. Other measures they use when they are running low of water in summer… the government closes the beach showers; and people are not allow to irrigate their gardens.

What does this all have to do with the loo? A lot… Every time we flash the toilet we are using tap water that could have been used for some other purpose. Consequently… some smart guy has developers a new system where the loo has 2 buttons. Take a look at the pic.

I have been in many countries, but never saw something like this. Aussie.. Aussie.. OI..OI...OI.
By pressing the small button, the toilet would flash ½ of the water contained on it. By pressing the big one, the whole water contained would flow down. For what I have been told, you should press the big one when you defecate and the smaller one when you urinate.

Usar el inodoro nunca fue algo complicado. Si bien cuesta adaptar a los pequeños, estos aprenden a usarlo antes de ingresar al jardín. Uno va al baño, levanta la tapa… hace lo que sea que tenga que hacer… tira la cadena y ya! El ser humano siempre se encarga de complicar las cosas y hoy en día ir al baño no es como en los viejos tiempo.

Por el hecho de ser una isla, Australia lucha diariamente con el abastecimiento de agua potable. Este es uno de los motivos por el cual el techo del estadio olímpico fue diseñado de manera tal que pueda capturar grandes cantidades de agua de lluvia. Otra de las medidas que usan cuando están cortos de agua en el verano son: cortar las duchas de las playas e imposibilitan el riego de los jardines privados.

Que tiene que ver esto con el inodoro? Mucho. Cada vez que presionamos el botón del inodoro estamos utilizando agua que podría ser destina a otro propósito. Consecuentemente… un flaquito inteligente desarrollo un sistema que transformo el simple botón del inodoro en dos botones. Échenle un vistazo.

Al presionar el botón mas chico, el inodoro libera ½ carga de agua. De presionar el segundo, se libera la carga completa. Según lo que me dijeron los australianos uno debería presionar el botón grande cuando hace lo segundo… y el chico cuando hace lo primero. Y si haces las dos cosas… presiona solo el grande. OK? ajjaj
